Insurance Loss Claims

We understand that dealing with insurance companies and contractors can be confusing and intimidating. Our professionals at Legacy Roofing & Exteriors help you with your claim and complete a professionally installed roof.

STEPS IN ROOF INSPECTION & INSTALLATION

Roof Inspection. Let our professionals at Legacy Roofing & Exteriors inspect your roof for storm-related damage.

 

File a Claim. Call your insurance company's claim center to file a claim. The process takes a few minutes. They will assign you a claim number.

 

Scheduling an Adjusters Appointment. Make sure you contact Legacy Roofing & Exterior so one of our reps can be out there during the insurance inspection. Call us once the adjuster contacts you to give us the time and date.

  • We are trained to work with adjusters to make sure they approve your entire roof.

  • We also ensure that they cover everything in your scope and that prices meet current market value.

Reviewing Your Claim. Once you receive your scope of loss, please call us. We will sit down with you and review every item. We want to make sure that every question is answered and that they are paying “fair market value.” If the scope is correct, we will continue selecting your roofing material.

 

Price Agreement. In some instances, a “supplement” is filed, which is a request asking the insurance company to pay a difference in additional work or material. That supplement will never be the responsibility of the homeowner.

 

Roof Installation. Before the roof installation is done, we will do a walk-through with you to go over the details, such as a satellite dish, which at times needs to be removed. We also suggest contacting your provider and scheduling a reset. We also request our customers to remove their cars from the driveway during the roof installation.

 

Payment. Once the roof is completed, the 1st ACV check would be due. We will also file a depreciation request so your insurance can release the remaining funds called (recoverable depreciation) and supplements.

 

Final Payment. After you get the depreciation check, we can schedule a time to meet. We will also ask for your deductible check and once we get the check, we will mail your warranty within 2 weeks.
